Patsy Mael Baker passed away on April 30, 2004 in Surrey, British Columbia. Canada.  She was married to Buddy Don Baker (born in Oklahoma on October 26, 1939) and died in Surrey, BC , as well, on December 7, 2005.  They had two children and were teachers in British Columbia for many years.

Curtis A. (Curt) Magnuson, 66, of Grand Forks, ND passedway Thursday, March 8, 2007, at home. Curtis Allen Magnuson was born February 26, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Hugo and Dorothy (Swenson) Magnuson. He grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1959 and the University of North Dakota in 1963 with a degree in Business Administration. He married Judy Espeland on September 18, 1965 in Grand Forks, ND. He was the President of Hugo's. He began his career in the family-owned grocery business by delivering groceries on his bicycle. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the North Dakota Grocers Association. Curt is survived by his wife Judy; daughters Kristi Magnuson-Nelson (Bob), Diane Magnuson and son David Magnuson all of Grand Forks. 2 granddaughters; Emily and Juliana; Sister Maralyn (Warren) Anderson, Lancaster, PA; Brothers, Keith Magnuson, Crookston, MN and Paul (Judy) Magnuson, Saratoga, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Visitation: Monday, March 12, 2007 5:00-7:00 p.m. Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, North Dakota. Memorial Service: Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Calvary Lutheran Church 1405 S. 9th Street, Grand Forks.

Douglas Lee Marsh, 79, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at home.
Douglas was born May 6, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Clarence and Mildred (Swehla) Marsh.  After his mother passed away, he was raised by his grandparents, Josie and Joseph Swehla. He attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1959.  He went on to attend the University of North Dakota and graduated with a degree in general business.  Doug married Mary Kay Stoltman on July 19, 1965.  They celebrated 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2015.  She was the love of his life and he has missed her every day since her passing.
Doug had a successful career as a salesman for Bristol Distributing and Westech selling electronics to stores around the state.  He also owned Valley Trophies and Tshirts until 2003 when he retired.  He enjoyed all things outdoors: hunting, fishing, gardening, and trapshooting.  Doug loved to travel and took his family on a trip each year, making great memories..

Lawrence "Larry" Earl McGoven, 69, of Zimmerman, MN, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, danced joyfully into heaven on Friday, July 30, 2010, embraced by the love and prayers of his family. He was born on May 1, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND to Ardell and Margaret (Waxvic) McGoven. Larry grew up in Grand Forks and attended St. James Academy, graduated from Central High School in 1959, and was an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959-1964, working as a Military Police Officer and Chaplain Assistant. Larry married Carol Weathersby in Grand Forks, ND and they were blessed with a daughter, Holly (Danny) Lasyone, Pollack Pines, CA. Carol died in 1983. For many years Larry worked for Absey Motors and the Sacramento Bee. He also owned and operated Duffy's Tavern and managed the Broken Drum Tavern. On June 12, 1987, Larry married Maribeth (Olson). As a devoted dad, he adored their children: Camille, Kayla, and Aaron. In addition to his dedication to his family, Larry worked as a Security Officer for O'Brien Security, Dubuque, IA; Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD; Mystic Lake Casino, Prior Lake, MN; and Grand Casino, Mille Lacs, MN. He was an award winning salesman for the Argus Leader Newspaper, Sioux Falls, SD. Larry was a man of gentle strength, deep faith, and contagious joy. His laughter, stories, singing, warmth and love will be forever cherished. "Go in peace and dance on Glory's side. Fly to Jesus and live!" Larry is survived by his wife; children; grandchildren: Brittni and Jessica, Sacramento, CA; brothers Robert (Janice), Grand Forks; Gary, San Antonio, NM; and Charles (Teresa), Buckeye, AZ; 2 sisters: Vickie Knight, Anna, TX and Tammie Grant, Loveland, CO, and many other dear family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kay Mitchell (Mary Kathryn) was born on January 19, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND to parents Charles and Rosalie Mitchell.  She moved to San Diego, CA after graduating from Central High School and met her future husband, Hubert Earl Boyd, Jr., a USN seaman from Texas.  They were married in San Diego on August 1, 1962.  After he separated from the Navy they moved to Minneapolis, MN.  They had one child, Eugenie Elizabeth Boyd, born August 19, 1963, also known as Jennie Boyd.  Sometime after her birth, Kay and her husband divorced.  Kay died at Federal Way WA on November 27, 2003 at the age of 61.  Her daughter died at age 55; her father died at age 43 and he mother at age 60.
